Research and development projects

Since the Registry works within an institute of the Cnr, it uses the expertise of its researchers in research and development projects focused on the Internet and the domain names system. The Project provides statistics, annually, which give an overview on the spread of the Internet in Italy through the metrics of domains and valuable information on market prospects for Registrars. On the other hand, from a mathematical analysis of the archive of .it domains, managed by the "Webalgo" group, you can get an accurate picture on the spread and development of communities of interest on the Italian web.
