Changing the service provider from Maintainer (asynchronous) to Registrar (synchronous)

Overview

This operation allows a Registrant to change their Internet service provider for their domain, from a Maintainer (which works with the asynchronous system, by sending documentation) to a Registrar (synchronous system, in real time).
First a new Registrar must be selected (find Registrar). The Registrant send a paper request to the it. Registry to change the Maintainer / Registrar, indicating the tags of the old and the new service provider.

Select and fill in the form

The request must be sent only in the Italian version. The English version is available only for a better comprehension of the document.

 

English version (not to be sent):   

Depending on whether the Registrant is a natural person or an entity other than natural person (public bodies, companies, associations, individuals with a VAT number, etc), use the appropriate form:
Change of Maintainer/Registrar for "natural persons" (RTF, PDF)
Change of Maintainer/Registrar for "subjects other than natural persons" (RTF, PDF)

The new Registrar will provide the Registrant the code that identifies them (contactID) within the synchronous registration system. The contactID must be entered in the Change of Maintainer / Registrar form.

Send the form

The form must be completed in its entirety, signed by the Registrant and sent to the Registry:

Change of Maintainer / Registrar forms sent via email or delivered by hand will not be accepted.
The Registry examines the request for change of Maintainer / Registrar. If the data are correct, the Registry changes the Maintainer with the new Registrar, to which it assigns a new authinfo code for the domain in question. The Registrar, in turn, notifies the code to the Registrant.
