Changing the service provider from: Registrar (synchronous) to Maintainer (asynchronous) and, simultaneously, changing the Registrant
Overview
The operation allows a domain to be transferred from one entity to another and, simultaneously, changes the Internet service provider for the domain, from a Registrar (synchronous system) to a Maintainer (asynchronous system).
The old Registrant sends the Registry a paper-based request to change the Registrant, containing its identity and that of the new Registrant and a Letter of Assumption of Responsibility (LAR), indicating the tag of the new Maintainer. The request must be signed by the old and the new Registrants.
Select and fill in the form
There are six models depending on various combinations:
- transfer between natural persons in rtf format
- transfer between natural persons in pdf format
- transfer from a natural person to entity other than a natural person in rtf format
- transfer from a natural person to entity other than a natural person in pdf format
- transfer from an entity other than the individual person in rtf format
- transfer from an entity other than the individual person in pdf format
- transfer between two entities other than natural persons in rtf format
- transfer between two entities other than natural persons in pdf format
- change of Registrant due to succession in rtf format
- change of Registrant due to succession in pdf format
- change of Registrant as a result of transformation, merger or name change in rtf format
- change of Registrant as a result of transformation, merger or name change in pdf format
Letter of asumption of responsability (Lar)
The request must be sent only in the Italian version. The English
version is available only for a better comprehension of the document.
English version (not to be sent):
- transfer from a natural person to entity other than a natural person in rtf format
- transfer form a natural person to entity other than a natural person in pdf format
- change of Registrant due to successionin rtf format
- change of Registrant due to successionin pdf format
- change of Registrant as a result of transformation, merger or name change in rtf format

Send the form and the LAR
The form and LAR should be completed in all parts, signed by the old and the new Registrants, and sent to the Registry:

Change of Maintainer / Registrar forms sent via email or delivered by hand are not accepted.
The Registry examines the request for change of Maintainer / Registrar and LAR. If the data are correct, the Maintainer sends the electronic form and this concludes the procedure.
