Registry and Registrars

The Registry office of .it domain names  does not deal directly with registering new addresses on behalf of users. This service is offered by specific companies (called Registrars) whose services citizens and businesses can use to get their .it domain.
Each Registrar, with the greatest autonomy, offers services of every type and price, from simple registration of a domain name to the creation of websites, the provision of Internet connectivity, and other highly specialized services.
