What is a Maintainer?

A Maintainer is a service provider under contract with the Registry and as such can manage .it domains in asynchronous mode, either in person or on behalf of clients.
The Registry does not, in fact, register domains directly on behalf of end users.
Each Maintainer offers services at every level and price from simple registrations of domain names to the creation of websites, the provision of Internet connectivity, and the supply of highly specialized services. Maintainers are completely free to set the costs they charge for registering and maintaining an .it domain.
