Maintainers who have not signed a Registrar contract by 30/4/2011
For the Maintainers that have not started the procedures to become Registrars by April 30, 2011, the .it Registry will suspend the service starting from May 9, 2011. In the following weeks it will then remove the Maintainer TAGs and all domain names maintained by such Maintainers will be put into "NO-PROVIDER" or "REDEMPTION-NO-PROVIDER". These domains will then be managed by the Registry in compliance with the current regulations and may be recovered by individual Registrants by means of a Change from Maintainer to Registrar and possible Change of the Registrant.
Maintainers who signed a Registrar contract by 30/4/2011
Maintainers who signed a Registrar contract and still have to complete the migration phase from Maintainer to Registrar, starting from May 1, 2011, can do only the following operations :
- Maintenance of domain names (automatic renewal on expiry).
- Simple changes such as:
- Updating of the authoritative nameservers for a domain name;
- Updating of the information associated with the contacts of a domain name;
- Transition to "NO-PROVIDER"
- Recovery of a domain name from "NO-PROVIDER" or "REDEMPTION-NO-PROVIDER"
For those Maintainers who have not passed the accreditation test within 5 five months from the subscription of the contract, the Registry will remove the Maintainer tag and put all domain names maintained by them into "NO-PROVIDER" or "REDEMPTION-NO-PROVIDER ". These domains will be managed by the Registry in compliance with current regulations.
