The project ‘Digital Kit’ of Registro .it, nominated for the ‘Sustainable PA Award – II Edition. 100 projects to reach the goals of the 2030 Agenda, has been included in the ‘100 projects’ awarded.

‘Digital Kit’ is part of the communication campaign of Registro .it, which has centred its communication campaign on businesses, considering that 63% of them – distributed over the Italian territory – are ‘indifferent’ with respect to the use of digital technology (Istat 2018).

Therefore the objective is to improve the degree of digitalisation of businesses and freelance professionals, by training them, and by providing them with the tools they need to be more competitive and to take advantage of the opportunities of the Web.

In this context, the Registro provided businesses with the Digital Kits (DK) – an actual proper digital toolbox designed for small and medium-sized businesses, professionals, artisans, merchants and freelancers. The DK consist of a video, a brief text with an explanation and some slides with more in-depth information.

The DK are useful for:

  • Collecting basic elements and information on the use of digital technology
  • Assess one’s own needs in a more competent way
  • Regulate ones’ own choices for possibly looking for experts or external solutions (and save money)

The award ceremony took place within the Forum PA 2019 on the 15th of May, during the conference ‘Promoting sustainable innovation, steering the market: the new role of government’; the award went to Anna Vaccarelli, the person in charge of the External Relations, Media, Communication and Marketing Unit of the Registro .it.

This year the award is dedicated to Antonella Giulia Pizzaleo, who was in charge of the Regional Digital Agenda and Internet Governance for the Region Lazio, and who also collaborated with the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) in Pisa. She died on the 7th of January; the award is dedicated to her in memory of her great enthusiasm and commitment to making PA innovative, transparent and open to a new way of interacting with citizens, territories and communities.
