“La scatola lilla” was born from the idea of Cristina Di Canio, whose dream as a child has always been to be a bookseller. When she finally made her dream true, she realized that the web offers a multitude of instruments to help her boost the sales and the reputation of her brand.
Said instruments are used through a specific strategy that mixes the virtual world and the real one. Cristina organizes events and discussions, both in the bookstore and online, such as the initiative #librosospeso (the pending book), which involved more than 3 million users, or the #libraioinvaligia (the book in the suitcase) initiative by which (not only) Italian booksellers give bits of advice on books to read during the holidays.
All these events are magnified through Facebook and Twitter, where the readers' community is numerous.
