The Internet Festival returns to Pisa for its fourteenth edition in 2024, featuring a new keyword: #generazione. This term encompasses various meanings: the natural and biological process through which living beings reproduce, the distinction between generations and eras, and also serves as a temporal bridge connecting different phases of humanity, culminating in the current generation of new contents created by AI, which attempts to mimic human ingenuity and skill. 

The Registro .it, one of the promoters and creators of this internet-focused festival, and the Ludoteca will be present at the event, offering seminars and workshops.

 Registro Events: 

  • Domain Extensions as Tools for Branding and Marketing (Thursday, October 10): an appointment for citizens and businesses to explore how domain “extensions” can be utilized to enhance online presence and protect brands. 
  • Cybersecurity Day (Friday, October 11): an annual event dedicated to cybersecurity, where experts, researchers, and representatives from the business world and public administration will present the latest developments in cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, and specialized training. In the afternoon, thematic panels will be held on digital rights and cybersecurity in the energy sector, along with matchmaking meetings between industry and research.. 

Ludoteca Events:

  • Think First, Share Later (Thursday, October 10 - from 09:00 to 10:30 and from 11:00 to 12:30 - Centro Congressi Le Benedettine - speakers Giorgia Bassi and Beatrice Lami): A workshop inviting young participants to reflect on the opportunity to share personal information and data online, addressing topics such as online reputation and strategies for protecting digital identity. 
  • Learning Cybersecurity with Internetopoli (Friday, October 11 - from 16:00 to 17:00 - Centro Congressi Le Benedettine - speakers Claudia Mazzanti and Manuela Moretti): A workshop dedicated to the web app “Internetopoli,” which provides teachers with tools and pathways to teach cybersecurity in the classroom.
