Registro .it, with the staff of the Ludoteca, also this year will be part of the Day of Solidarity on 29 April 2024. The Day of Solidarity takes place in Pisa every year, starting in 2006, the year of the attack in which major Nicola Ciardelli died during the war in Iraq. Since that year, to commemorate the death of the major, the Nicola Ciardelli Association has decided to dedicate a day to the very young people of all schools of Pisa, of every order and grade, from kindergarten to high schools, with the aim of raising awareness among students on the issues of peace and solidarity.
The events organised by the Ludoteca of Registro .it will be held in the CNR Research Area and will take place during the morning with two appointments:
- At 9:15 am - Claudia Mazzanti and Manuela Moretti will illustrate the world of Internetopoli to children, surfing the Internet with them, learning to use digital tools with awareness and avoiding the various risks hidden around the corner. Internetopoli is the application created by Registro .it for primary school students and as an aid for teachers and parents to educate the ‘digital natives’ to a conscious use of the Internet, promoting a correct interaction with its enormous potential;
- At 9:45 am - Giorgia Bassi and Beatrice Lami, for students of the first and second grade secondary schools, will focus on cybersecurity through the videogame by the Registro "Nabbovaldo e il ricatto dal Cyberspazio” ("Nabbovaldo and the blackmail from cyberspace”), a serious game for young people between 11 and 14 years old, to bring them closer to cybersecurity issues and not to let them fall into the “traps” they may encounter when browsing. The protagonist of the videogame Nabbovaldo, who represents the alter ego of any unwise boy moving into a whole new world, is a young inhabitant of Internetopoli, the city of the Internet, passionate about the online world, but naive and unaware of the possible risks. The aim of the game, conceived as an adventure divided into chapters, is to improve knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour in using the Internet, so as to encourage the good practices related to cybersecurity.
