On November 20, in Utrecht, the Ludoteca of Registro .it took part in the GALA Conference, the international event dedicated to promoting game-based tools for education.
At the center of the event was the video game “Nabbovaldo and the Blackmail from Cyberspace”, selected for the final session of the Serious Game Competition and awarded as an example of excellence in the field of educational games.
Designed for children and teenagers aged 11 to 14, the game is a serious game that guides young players through a chapter-based adventure aimed at improving their knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours related to the conscious use of the Internet. Through narrative and interactive dynamics, “Nabbovaldo and the Blackmail from Cyberspace” encourages the adoption of good cybersecurity practices, making digital safety an accessible and engaging topic.
The international recognition obtained at the GALA Conference confirms that the video game is an effective tool for educating about the prevention of online risks, highlighting the role of play as an innovative means of learning.
