From November 5 to 6, the Registro .it will take part in the 2025 edition of Smau Milan, one of Italy’s leading trade fairs dedicated to digital innovation and Open Innovation. The event represents an important opportunity for meetings and networking among companies, startups, and key players in the technological and digital ecosystem, with the goal of developing innovative solutions and sharing best practices.
After its participation at BTM in Bari and WMF in Bologna, the Registro will also be present in Milan with a stand in the Matching Area (A51), to promote the .it domain as a strategic tool for the digital identity of Italian businesses. The national domain continues to be a distinctive hallmark and a concrete support for affirming “Made in Italy” in the digital global marketplace.
On November 6 at 4:00 p.m., at Arena 4, the workshop entitled “The .it domain as a digital passport to Asia” will be held, specifically for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
During the session, SMEs will have the opportunity to discover how choosing the right domain, using a multilingual website, and adopting targeted digital tools can become strategic levers for internationalization, even in complex and stimulating markets such as those in Asia. The workshop will also explore the criteria for identifying the most suitable domain for positioning abroad, methods for optimizing a .it website for the Far East, and techniques for effectively localizing content and services. A concrete opportunity to transform the domain into a passport for global growth.
With the contribution of Emanuele Vitali, co-founder of East Media and an expert in digitalization and Far Eastern markets, trends, best practices, and strategies will be analyzed to help businesses grow in Asia while maintaining a strong digital identity. The .it domain will be the central theme of the workshop, recognized as a global branding asset capable of conveying credibility, consistency, and reliability even beyond national borders.
Admission to Smau is free, subject to visitor registration.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but requires a separate registration.
