As part of the European All Digital Weeks campaign, which will be held from 9 to 25 March, the Registro .it and EURid have organised a training moment for students of the “F. Buonarroti” High School in Pisa, accompanied by two in-depth seminars

The first proposed seminar is entitled "Internet domain names: what they are and who manages them" (speakers: Giorgia Bassi - Registro .it and Adriana León - EURid): the purpose of the speech will be to introduce the notion of a domain name, and then describe the role of the Registro .it and EURid. Will be explored the domain world from a technical perspective, the management of registration and maintenance practices, and the benefits and opportunities for individuals, businesses and organisations.

The second seminar, on the other hand, is entitled "Ethical hacking" (speaker: Ilaria Matteucci - Trust Security and Privacy Research Unit of the CNR-IIT): ethical hackers have the same skills and use the same tools and tactics as malicious hackers but their goal is always to improve the security of the Internet without harming its users. There is increasing demand for ethical hackers in the world of work, both in the private sector and in the public administration. In this seminar, we will briefly look at some tools to perform this type of activity.

All Digital Weeks 2026 will involve organisations from all over Europe, with co-financing from the European Commission. The theme of the 2026 edition, “Digital well-being for a competitive Europe”, focuses on the importance of a conscious, responsible and sustainable use of digital technologies

The campaign promotes digital inclusion and skills development as key elements of everyday life, supporting people’s well-being and European competitiveness. Through local initiatives and awareness-raising activities, All Digital Weeks will contribute to making digital learning more accessible, concrete and close to the needs of citizens, students and workers.
