CNR-IIT director and head of the Registro .it, Marco Conti, is one of nine members of the Scientific Technical Committee (STC) of the National Cybersecurity Agency (NCA).

The NCA was established to protect national interests in the field of cybersecurity and ensures coordination among public entities involved in the matter. In the process of completing the organisation of the National Cybersecurity Agency, Undersecretary Franco Gabrielli, as the Delegated Authority for the Security of the Republic, signed the decree appointing the nine members of the Agency's Scientific Technical Committee: nine experts, six men and three women, in the field of emerging technologies and who have distinguished themselves in the dissemination and culture of cybersecurity, whose choice was shared with the NCA's top committee.

The Committee, chaired by NCA director general Roberto Baldoni, will perform advisory and proposal functions, free of charge, and is aimed at promoting collaboration with the university and research system, as well as the national production system. In addition, the STC will contribute to support public-private initiatives in cybersecurity and to ensure the implementation of the 82 measures set out in the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2022-2026, adopted by the Prime Minister on 17 May 2022.

The members of the STC were selected as follows: four representing the world of industry operating in the areas of the Agency's activities, including small and medium-sized enterprises; four representing the university and research system; and the last one, as a representative of security industry associations of the country's strategic companies.
